The new facility offers full service care for its clients and horses. The barn just completed a new wing, making a total of 38 stalls. It hosts two large tack rooms with heat and A/C. There are two full and one half bathroom and three heated wash racks. Each side of the facility offers all the amenities necessary for the clients and horses.

The indoor arena is 80 x 220 with sand and rubber footing. The best part of the indoor – it’s HEATED! There is a large viewing area in the indoor. This area can also be used as a banquet room, conference area for clinics and houses the concession stand. The outdoor arena is 150 x 250 with sand & antiskid footing. It’s surrounded by trees on one side making for a beautiful back drop and nice shade on a hot summer day. Both rings are available for hourly rentals.

There are a variety of pastures; grass paddocks and larger pastures or dirt paddocks with hay. The fencing is 2x4 mesh with rope wire across the top. The water buckets are dumped and cleaned out daily. This helps minimize the risk of mosquitoes, viruses and allows staff to better monitor how much the horses are drinking. Turn out is semi-private with no more than four horses to a paddock or eight to a pasture. The horses are not turned out in inclement weather.

The barn itself is amazing. Tongue and grove wood was used throughout. There are fans throughout the barn. Ample lighting in the stalls and around the barn as well as outlets at each stall provide safety and convenience. The stalls sizes start at 10 x 10 and go to 12 x 14. Each stall floor is gravel with rubber mats on top. They are well bedded and cleaned daily.

Outlaw Stables prides itself with the exceptional care given to its equine guests. Water buckets are cleaned out daily and scrubbed weekly. Disinfectant is used in the stalls daily. Only top of the line feed is used for the horses and up to 10 quarts a day are included in regular board. Supplements are administered with grain. Medication can be handled by the barn staff. Horses are turned out in any items provided by the owner. Fly spray, fly mask, bell boots, and blankets. Horses competing over the winter are blanketed by the staff with blankets changed according to the temperature.

The manager lives on premises and there is regularly a staff member on site. This makes it a safer environment for both rider and horse.

Lessons are offered by two instructors. Both Tara Dawn and Lindsay have had years of experience on the show circuit themselves and with their students. Take a look at their bios for more information. Students are started as young as 3 years old. Both group and private lessons are available. Ship-in students are welcome. Both instructors attend horse shows with their students.

Training is done by Tara Dawn. Training is available from breaking to finishing for the show ring. Horses in training are ridden four to five times per week. The training program and methods are designed to suit the learning ability of each horse. Tara Dawn also starts young horses in the show ring. From their first show experience until they are ready to take care of their owner.

Outlaw Stable always has a nice selection of “A” quality ponies and horses available for sale or lease. Tara Dawn also brings in imports from Germany for clients in the hunter/jumper and equitation rings. Check the for sale pages to see what's currently available.

Yearly clinics are offered at Outlaw Stable. Some of the most recent clinicians have been: Nancy Faulkner “R” hunter judge, Scott Hofstetter, Ray Francis, Jeff Ayers and Dutch Chapman (Leading nonpro Reining trainer). A clinic with Frank Madden of Beacon Hill Stables is scheduled for November.
