Lindsay Vulich

As a junior, Lindsay and her horse, “Now Appearing,” competed in hunter, jumper, and medal classes. The pair qualified and showed at the Washington International Horse Show and received ribbons at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and the Devon National Horse Show. Lindsay and “Now Appearing” received numerous Year-End Championship Awards for their accomplishments, including USEF Zone 2 Horse of the Year. Lindsay also received the Best Child Rider Award at Quentin in 1997 and 1998.

In May 2001, Lindsay showed Susan Crotty's “Pearl Moon” to 6th Place at the Devon National Horse Show in the Young Hunter Under Saddle riding against top professionals.

Lindsay and “Monkey Shine” owned by Dr. Danielle K. B. Boal, received Reserve Champion in the Local Hunter Finals at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in October 2001.

The Perry County Schooling Show Series presented Lindsay with the Leading Trainer Award in 2001, 2004, 2005, and 2006.

In October 2003, Lindsay coached Katie Vellios and her pony, “Cute as a Button,” to a second place finish in Leadline at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show.  Lindsay continues that tradition and often has students rewarded with placings in the top 6 in Leadline.

In 2006, “Mr. Blue Eyes,” Lindsay’s pony, and Katie Vellios were Year-End Champions in the PA Horse Show Association (PHSA), Blue Merit Award Winner in the Maryland Horse Shows Association (MHSA), and won the Over-All High Point Award in the Central PA Junior Horse Shows Association (CPJHSA). Lindsay's students continue to receive top year-end awards in many organizations.

In January 2007, Lindsay coached Elizabeth Gingrich and Nicole Godley (Dickinson College Equestrian Team members) at the Tournament of Champions in Athens, Georgia.  Nicole finished in the top 16.

Summer of 2007, Lindsay trained Emily Hoke and her pony, “Pal of Mine”, to the Children’s Hunter Pony Series Championship at the Halcyon Farm Summer Series.

Lindsay is a member of the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA). From 2006 to 2008, Lindsay was on the Central Pennsylvania Junior Horse Shows Association (CPJHSA) Board of Directors.  She was also the Chairman of the CPJHSA Clinic Committee during that time. Lindsay is currently a regional horse show steward for the IHSA.

Lindsay coached Lillian Walter, one of Lindsay's Dickinson Equestrian Team (DET) students, in Class 1 of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). Lily placed first at Regional finals, second at Zone Finals, and placed third at the IHSA National Finals held in Los Angeles, CA in May 2008.

Lindsay trained and showed Megan Yarnall's "If You Insist" to the Hopeful Hunter Championship at the PCSS in November 2008.

In March 2009, Davia Palmeri, another DET student coached by Lindsay, won the Novice Over Fences class at IHSA Regional Finals. Davia then went onto IHSA Zone 3 Finals, where she placed 4th.

In Spring 2010, Lindsay coached Mary McClintock in class 3 at IHSA National Finals in Lexington, KY.  Mary placed second at Region Finals and also placed second at Zone Finals. Anne Maffey and “Second Chance”, trained by Lindsay, were awarded the Children’s Hunter 14 & under Series Reserve Championship at Hollyhurst Farm in June of 2010.

Currently, Lindsay is the Head Coach of the Dickinson College Equestrian Team. Lindsay has been coaching the team since 2004.
